Rotary works with the Sedona Library to Collect Veterans Histories…

The Club's Foundation and Community Service committees have joined forces to work on a potential district grant program: The Veteran's History Project. This is a national program by the Library of Congress to create an historic archive of a living history that honors our nation's war veterans.

The Sedona Public Library is one of four Arizona partners with LOC in an on-going program to interview Sedona area veterans and civilians who worked in support of them. With funding for this program eliminated from the library's budget due to non-operating expense cuts this year, the Rotary Club of Sedona is attempting to put together a joint service project designed to both fund and operate the program for another year. There will be more about this exciting project in coming weeks.

A Helping Hand for Youth…

Thanks to Rotarians Ron Goldman, Katherine Stewart and Linda Wallace               for volunteering at the Arizona Cancer Society’s Camp Sunrise for area youth with cancer.  Your efforts made a difference for the kids and their families.

Send Newsletter to Guests and Prospective Members …

If you would like to encourage a friend or associate to consider Rotary, send their e-mail addresses to cmarr2@cox.net and they will be added to the weekly newsletter distribution list.

Rotary Leadership Institute…

Our Club’s future depends upon developing leaders who will assume Club offices in the years ahead.  If you would like to be considered for The Rotary Leadership Institute to be held in Williams on Sept. 13th, contact President Linda asap.
