Sedona Rotary is Third in District RI Giving…

For the past Rotary year, our Club was the third highest among District 5490 clubs in RI annual fund giving.   Averaging $233.77 per member, Sedona Rotary donated $10,286.  Total District giving was $435,710.83.  Congratulations, Rotarians!

First Steps in Club Planning…

It's the beginning of the new Rotary year - a great time to review the Club Leadership Plan. The Club Leadership Plan is the administrative structure recommended for Rotary clubs by the RI Board. Although it isn't mandatory for any club to adopt the Plan, every club can benefit from reviewing the plan and considering how to standardize its administrative procedures in order to have more time for service and fellowship.

Our Club leaders will review the Club Leadership Planning Guide at the Board Meeting on August 19, 2008.

District Wheelchair Distribution to Culiacan Planned ….

District 5490 club members are organizing a wheelchair distribution trip in late January 2009 to Culiacan, MexicoClubs and individuals in our district have donated nearly 2000 wheelchairs to various areas of central and eastern Mexico over the past several years.

This year, Chris Lewis, Director of the Wheelchair Foundation, and son of Jerry Lewis, will be joining our group of Rotarians in Mexico to help in the distribution.  Our Community Service Committee will discuss this project and others on August 26, 2008, 11:30 am at Los Abrigados.
