“New Year, All Year Round” First Celebration Announced …

Partnering with the Jewish Community Center, our Club will sponsor its first ethnic New Years celebration on Sunday, September 14, 2008.  The festive event will be held from 3 to 6 pm at the Jewish Community Center in Sedona.

Rabbi Alicia Magal is preparing the program, which will include explanation of the holy days, a “Book of Life” for each person attending, demonstration of the shofar, music, and Q & A.  Interspersed with the program various traditional Jewish foods prepared by JCC members will be served.  It promises to be a unique experience.

Each Rotarian is asked to buy or sell four tickets at $50 each.  Tickets are available on the Web site www.sedonarotary.org or the Desert Hills Banks.  Proceeds from this fund raising event will be used to support the Club’s community service projects throughout the year.
