Each One, Ask One

Today our Club is 39 members strong; our goal is to increase our membership total to 45.  The first step to achieve this goal is to expose potential members to Rotary fellowship in action.  The Board asks each Rotarian to invite a guest to an upcoming Rotary meeting.  The Club will pay for your guest’s meal; so don’t delay, ask a friend or colleague to join you at Rotary soon.

Thanks from Samantha…

Dear Rotary Club of Sedona, Thank you for choosing me for the student of the month of September.  Thank you for awarding me with a $500 scholarship and inviting me to your meeting.  My parents and I enjoyed meeting with you.

Did you know…

Our Club has agreed to participate in the Los Abrigados Annual Red Rock Fantasy.  Mark December 9th on your calendar; volunteers will be needed to help with the event and our Club will receive $1 from each admission that evening.

The Board endorsed the Veterans History Project and has authorized a contribution of up to $625 based on matching gifts from our Club members.  Notify Bill Welter or Merv Shapan if you want to contribute to this worthy project.

The Board has approved Club membership in the Sedona Chamber of Commerce.  This membership will allow our Club to distribute literature at the Visitors Center as well as to link to the Chamber’s web site.

Spooks and volunteers are needed to staff Rotary’s booth in the upcoming uptown Halloween Event.  Our focus will be child safety and fun.  Notify Linda Wallace or Larry Rosenberg if you can materialize on October 31st.
