Vote, November 4th

At last, the Presidential campaigns will conclude next Tuesday.  Now it’s your turn to be heard; vote!

PolioPlus Challenge accepted…

The Rotary Club of Sedona has joined thousands of other Rotary Clubs worldwide by accepting the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation challenge.  The Club has agreed to raise $1,000 annually for the next three years as our part in matching the $100 million Gates Grant to the Rotary International Foundation.

The PolioPlus program provides funding for mass immunization campaigns as well as support for social mobilization, surveillance, and laboratories to help carry out the final stages of global polio eradication.

Rotarians have raised funds that amount to more than $650 million, and as a result, two billion children under age five have received the polio vaccine and five million people who might otherwise be paralyzed are walking today.

Remember, as you contribute to our various fund raising events, you are helping to finally eradicate polio.  Congratulations!

Did you know?…

The Fund Raising Committee will meet at 11 am on November 11th.  Final plans for the New Year All Year Around Korean New Year event on January 25 will be discussed.

The Sedona Suppers will return in 2009.

Congratulations Renata Barnwell, our new area coordinator for the Australian Group Study Exchange planned for April, 2009.
