Positive Results from USA/Mexico Conference…

Renata Barnwell and Bill Welter represented our Club at the 9th annual USA/Mexico Matching Grant Conference at the Grand Canyon.   Bill presented our Club project, English as a second language (ESL), to the conference participants from Mexico.  He was approached shortly thereafter by Gerd Hintz and Eduardo from Club Rotario Cuernavaca Tabachines, A.C., District 4180.  As a result Bill and Renata arranged for a matching grant with the Curenavaca Club for the ESL program to be held at our Sedona Library.  It is a very exciting relationship and  has the potential for a stronger relationship over time.

Happy 90th Birthday, Dick…

Club members sang a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday to Dick Levy at last week’s meeting.  Special thanks to Dick’s sister, Janice DuBoise, who brought a terrific cheesecake to share with appreciative Rotarians.
