Library Project in Veracruz

The International Service Committee has chosen to support a project to develop libraries in the elementary schools in the neighboring municipalities of Veracruz. This is an approved matching grant project, so The Rotary Club of Sedona's contribution of $2000 will be matched by our district and again by Rotary International to yield a total of $7000 for the project.

 

The Boca del Rio Costa de Oro Rotary Club has supported, with its own resources, the development of two public elementary schools in the urban area. Part of this support has been the development of their school libraries. Having completed that project, they decided to create a larger project to add libraries to more elementary schools in their area. This project aims to provide full libraries to 20 schools for an estimated cost of $36,500. The Rotary Club of Sedona and District 5490 are pleased to be part of this well planned project.
