Sophia lives with her mother Jeannette Ramos and twin sister Sarah.  She spent her first eight years in Mexico at which time her family moved to California.  At age 13 her family moved to Sedona where she has excelled in her studies, school activities and community services.  Her accomplishments include being the Editor-in-Chief of the Sting Newspaper and the Literary Magazine; Secretary of the National Honor Society and Secretary of the Interact Club.  The Interact Club is for young people ages 12-18 who want to join together to tackle the issues in their community that they care most about.  She also attended the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) program during her junior year.

Sophia’s senior exhibition project is about natural/artificial multiple births and how with the advent of techniques such as invitro fertilization multiple births have become much more common.  She hopes to become an educator or a registered nurse for children and is interested in attending  ASU.
